Our Commitment
Our commitment is to offer innovative, environmentally friendly and cost-effective solutions to resolve the lack of efficiency and meet the strict environmental requirements for biological treatment processes of wastewater. We are also committed to fill the lack of viable solutions regarding problems related to the eutrophication of aquatic environments (algae, cyanobacteria and invasive aquatic plants).
We want to go beyond the traditional concept of “biological treatment”, which actually relies on bacterial ubiquity, by introducing the bacterial bioaugmentation approach, which consists of the addition of selectively adapted natural soil bacteria.
Our history
Mr. André Proulx graduated in agronomy from McGill University (Renewable Resources) in 1984. He worked for 6 years as head of an environmental analytical chemistry and microbiology laboratory. As General Manager, he also directed several environmental and land management organizations.
In 1990, André founded Les Traitements Bio-Bac Inc., a consulting and distribution company of biotechnological tools. With his academic knowledge and extensive experience in the aquatic environment, André has been able to solve various environmental problems by exploiting the intrinsic properties of natural bacteria to generate very interesting operational and economical benefits.
