Pulsar® offers innovative features that are not found among competitors. With radial audio output operating in two different bandwidths (algae and diatoms in the lower band; cyanobacteria in the upper band) and over 4,000 frequencies generated and continuously scanned, this device is now the most powerful and efficient on the global market.
The new Pulsar® series technology allows treatment coverage of up to 7 ha for algae and 50 ha for cyanobacteria, depending on environmental conditions. The device is easy to install, requires little maintenance and operates 24 hours a day, providing unparalleled control for different bodies of water.
How does it work
All existing matter has a critical resonance frequency at which it can suffer damage. The frequencies of the Pulsar® series devices are tuned to match the resonance frequencies of the algae cell membrane causing fatal damage to the algae within 72 hours of contact. These frequencies also attack biofilm and certain fungi such as pythium.
In cyanobacteria, it is their vacuoles which are damaged, i.e. gas microcells which allow their vertical movements in the water column and govern vital functions. Thus, ultrasound causes the implosion of the vacuoles, leading to their death. In the same way, these frequencies also have the property of degrading the molecules which make up the toxins produced by certain cyanobacteria.
Humans, animals, fish and plants have different resonance frequencies and are therefore not affected by the ultrasound emitted by Pulsar® transducers.
